National Big
Wig Day is coming (January 28th). Do you know what it’s all about?
Let me tell you; it's celebrated the last Frday in January. This day was created by Patty Sharkey in 2016. After having post-holiday
blues, she went through her collection of wigs, took a selfie, and posted it on
Facebook with the caption Happy National Big Wig Day.
It wasn’t long
before Patty’s idea spread. Her friends in several states hosted fundraiser
parties where 75% of the proceeds were donated to the American Cancer Society.
National Big Wig Day is a day anyone can celebrate. You are the big wig of your
life.
Regardless
of titles we can all make a difference and improve the lives of others with
this celebration. Join the fun by grabbing a big wig, take a selfie, and post
it on
social media with the hashtag National Big Wig Day. Raise money for your
favorite charity.
