Running,
laughing, playing, these things remind me of childhood, and being outside. The
fun does not have to stop after childhood, in fact it should not stop. National
Play Outside Day is celebrated on November 5th and encourages
everyone to get outside and play.
The purpose
of Play Outside Day is for kids, families, adults, and grandparents, to make
play a priority. How you play is up to you. You could have an outdoor family scavenger
hunt, visit a park or playground outside of your area, or play hopscotch.
Below are 5
ideas to help you celebrate National Play Outside Day.
1. Create paper airplanes and see who
can fly theirs the farthest.
2. Have
pillow fight outside.
3. Blow bubbles.
4. Go for a power walk.
5. Build a fort using lawn furniture.
The above
ideas were taken from VeryWellFamily. See their full list of 50 Things to Do
Outside With Kids as a Family, here.
What would
you add to the list of ways to celebrate National Play Outside Day?
